Couples Counseling
Creating and sustaining a meaningful, healthy relationship involves many elements.
Awareness. Presence. Understanding. Respect. Kindness. Flexibility.
Growth. Enjoyment.
Relationships need time, attention, reflection and learning.
In my work with couples, I focus on cultivating connection and communication.
We explore
how
to deepen a steady, reliable bond.
We explore how to expand and improve
communication - emotional, verbal and physical communication.
I use a range of approaches including family systems, the Gottman Method, attachment theory,
Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, hypnosis concepts and Non Violent Communication.
I focus on increasing both understanding and practice - learning and using specific skills
and processes.
There is usually home work.
I really enjoy working with couples.
While it is serious work, it is also satisfying and
fun.
I have helped couples navigate many things - fear, trust, commitment, finances,
expectations, parenting, responsibility, intimacy, relaxation, shared meaning, decision
making and more.
